          COACHING

 

Training less can get you more! As a USA Cycling Level 2 Coach, I design individual coaching programs personalized to your lifestyle and schedule, that make the most of your training time to get the results you want. Monitoring progress, being accessible to questions, dispensing advice and sharing knowledge and experiences is essential to being an effective coach. As a Cat 1 racer with many wins, podium finishes, 11 US National and 4 World Masters Championships, I have much to share with you. At EPIC you get me 100%.

         SCIENCE

 

As bikes and components have become more technically advanced, so has the science of endurance sport. In addition to traditional field tests, I use VO2 Max and Lactate Threshold Testing, and Power Meter File Analysis to identify my athletes' potential and track their progress. I train individuals and groups on programmed CompuTrainer courses and examine rider's technique in "real-time" using CompuTrainer's Pedal Analysis data. With a Masters of Applied Physiology from Columbia University and bike fit certification from Andy Pruitt’s Specialized BG Fit program, I approach endurance sport performance and conditioning with a clinical understanding and confidence that benefits all my athletes.  

        HEALTH & FITNESS

 

Optimal fitness for general health and endurance sport requires a comprehensive stregth and flexibility program, and that means "gym work". Weight training, plyometrics, flexibilty and core workouts are not just for the winter months any more! Spending time effectively in the gym can give you that competitive edge. Having spent years in corporate and commercial fitness as a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, I design effective personal workout programs for my athletes that result in better performance and less injury. And cross training can be fun. Now do 10 more reps!
